Curtis Egge
Position: Assistant Coach
Email: NA
This is Curtis Egge’s 7th season coaching Borah Lions Tennis. Although there were no interscholastic high school tennis programs in small-town Montana during the early 1970’s, with his Dad’s help, Curtis developed his game sufficiently to play at Pacific Lutheran University (PLU, NAIA) in 1974 and 1975 under Coach Mike Benson. Curtis graduated from PLU (’77) with a Social Work degree and Secondary Education Certification.
After about an 18-year hiatus, in 2010 Curtis resumed playing tennis. He also began working with beginning adults, intermediate adults and high school varsity players. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Curtis is in his eighth year working as an NCAA D-1/USTA tennis official with both on court and training responsibility.
He very much enjoys playing recreationally, playing competitively, coaching, teaching and officiating.
